Intern Program

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in a Master’s level program in counseling, psychology, social work, substance use disorders, marriage and family therapy, human relations or related field of study. Students will have completed a minimum of two semesters of academic course work before the start of the internship.

  • The length of the internship is a minimum of two (2) consecutive semesters.

  • A minimum of 10-15 hours per week on site.

  • Interns will be available one evening per week to see clients. The agency is currently open from 8:00a.m. to 8:00p.m. Monday through Thursday. Friday hours are 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m.

  • Students will attend weekly Intern Group meetings.

  • Students will attend weekly one-hour individual sessions with a site supervisor to review casework which may include the provision of outreach services in the following areas:

    • Assessment/Intake Process

    • Martial Therapy

    • Group Therapy

    • Family Therapy

    • Individual Therapy

    • Crisis Intervention Services

Other Opportunities Available

  • Attend general staff meetings

  • Attend staff in-service training

  • Monthly clinical consultations with all clinical staff
